Now pull the power cord from the Belkin as well, make sure the lights go off. I have decided to return the router from where I purchased it and carry on with the router that was supplied by my ISP as I have a connection with that.
I have just purchased a Belkin N Wireless Modem Router and whilst setting it up when it came to inserting the user name and password XXXXX keeps coming back saying that trying to connect the internet and says that the ISP does not accecpt the settings below. Obtain the username and password XXXXX your DSL, usually it is your email address.
I have a desktop and lap top and have tried the setup on both computers and get the same back on both. If you don't know it you can call your DSL provider and have them reset it.
It also uses Universal Plug and Play (UPn P (5) Internet LEDThis unique LED shows you when the Router is connected to the Internet.
When the light is OFF, the Router is NOT connected to the Internet.
Use the cable that was provided with the Router to connect the modem to this port.
